What is Trackronym?
Trackronym is a daily acrostic playlist game. Each day gives you a word, and every letter is a slot in your playlist. Fill each slot with a song whose title starts with that letter to spell out the whole word.
What are the star bonuses?
The cards below the playlist are optional bonuses. Matching a bonus's criteria with your song choices earns its star (★). They're not required to finish a puzzle — they're just for bragging rights.
Is my progress saved?
Yes. Your song choices for each day are stored in your browser, so a refresh won't lose your progress. Because it's stored locally, progress doesn't carry across different devices or browsers.
Can I play past puzzles?
Yes. Open the menu and choose History to review or continue any previous day. Each entry links straight back to that day's puzzle.
Where does the song information come from?
Song titles, artwork, and other track details come from Apple's iTunes Search API. Trackronym isn't affiliated with or endorsed by Apple.
Privacy
Do you collect my personal data?
No. Trackronym doesn't require an account, and it doesn't ask for or collect any personal information about you.
What is stored, and where?
Your puzzle progress and display preferences are saved only in your browser's local storage on your device. This data never leaves your browser, and clearing your browser data will remove it.
Do you use cookies or tracking?
No. Trackronym doesn't set tracking cookies and doesn't use third-party analytics or advertising services.
What about third-party requests?
When you search for a song, your query is sent to Apple's iTunes Search API to return matching tracks. Those requests are handled by Apple under its own privacy policy.
